So, Kate and I are heading down to Ashland, Oregon this coming weekend so I can meet her mom and get some good rest. However, she wasn’t content to just let me go down there and rest… she had to throw a challenge into the mix. You see, she’s planning on turning off her cell-phone for the entire weekend–unplugging from the world–and anyone who knows me knows that I’ve got this whizz-bang phone called a Treo that I’m practically addicted to it. Well, she commented that she wanted me to consider doing the same.
I quickly said, “Hey, that’s a good idea… but why don’t we make it a contest? Whoever can go the longest without turning on their phone wins!”
She responded (teasingly, with a wink), “Sweet! But I’m gonna win… you couldn’t go that long without your phone.”
To that, I say, “GAME ON!!”
She’s written about it on her blog and is asking for suggestions from our readers (all 5 of you
) for things that we could bet that preferably don’t cost too much money. So, head on over there and give us some ideas.
PRACTICALLY addicted? *coughs*
and, for the record, I do NOT wink.

Yeah you do! I’ve seen it!
Okay, maybe you didn’t this time… but you would have if you were a serial-winker like I am.
SEE! There I go again.

What I love is that in each of your blogs, the story is that idea for Blake to give up his phone belonged to the other person (Blake says it was Kate’s idea, Kate says it was Blake’s idea). Either way, I think it’s fantastic. Have a great weekend!
